What are your top 5 bands of the 90's? Not of "all-time", but of the 1990's.

My top 5
1. Pearl Jam
2. Nirvana
3. Foo Fighters
4. Offspring
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers

I don't really pay attention to what years the bands I listen to are from, and the only one I can think to list is RHCP and they are my all time favorite band.

Well let me think...

1. Faith No More
2. Pearl Jam
3. Rage Against the Machince
4. Sevendust
5. Alice in Chains

I could easily put a lot of others in there (Hootie and the blowfish, Mr. Bungle, and Soundgarden for a few), but as a whole I am much more familiar with the bands listed above.

Here's a listie, gonna introduce some never-before mentioned bands to the fold with this one.

5. The Black Crowes - Solid, classic, bluesy style, Chris Robinson's charismatic swagger and his brother Rich's muscular rhythm playing on the good ole' six-string really make these fellas quite a treat for the ears!

4. Nirvana - 'Nuff said.

3. The Tragically Hip - Possibly the best fully Canadian rock band of all time.

2. The La's - Some regard these guys as the true founders of Britpop, they'd been going strong since the 80's, but their only studio output was released in 1990, and it just so happens to be what I consider among the finest albums ever made.

1. Pearl Jam - I. Freaking. Love this band! Not only is Eddie Vedder one of my favourite rock vocalists, but Jeff Ament is one of the best bassists ever, not to mention the madcap dueling guitars of Mike McCready and Stone Gossard. All of these pieces together make for one hell of a group!

I will have you know that I am a fan of Rush, though I just prefer the Hip, so you need to allow me my own opinion there, Buster.
