LOL THE BIBLE THAT CRACKED ME UP!!! Not that im not religious... But anyway, my fav book are percy jackson seies harry potter series eragon series and a few novels like endymion spring and word nerd any similar books?
Like NoName, I prefer the classics, mostly. Sometimes i delve into the realm of fantasy, but lately, my taste of Film and Literature has gone to classics. I recommend Treasure Island very much, also, if you're into International Espionage, try the James Bond books(yes, the original ones, written by Ian himself). Those are page-turners.
Well since you seem to be a more advanced reader, I strongly suggest you try out Good Omens. It's a collaboration of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet. It's a comedy on the apocalypse, pretty witty, interesting, and has some pretty hilarious parts. Two very well renowned writers.
Michael Crichton* is pretty damn good. He writes mostly science fiction stuff, and he has some very good reads out there. Definitely a strong suggestion for the moderately advanced to highly advanced reader.
Any of Orson Scott Card's books, though some are more centered towards the adult audience. Other than that, there's the Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss, and the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, and Tunnels and Deeper by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams. Those are probably the best books I've read so far, though as Nemo said, everyone has different tastes.
You should definitely read the Percy Jackson series. I saw the preview of the movie and decided to read the books. Best decision I ever made. I read them all (there's 5 of them) in like 2 weeks and found it to be a really good series. It pretty much beat the Twilight Series for me. Almost.
The best idea I can give you is to not read anything. But if you have to read something, I suggest you take a look at the funnies in the paper. That's the closest thing I do to reading. :P
