And, for shadows, try using a color slightly darker than the surface it's being cast upon. Spraying over lightly with black works well too, though.

GIMP and Paint.NET are free (but I don't use it :P). They are like mini-photoshop. I'd use it if I had a tablet, but I don't. Hope I get one for Christmas!

Paint.NET is good. Its like Paint Improved, and MS made it, but then they discontinued it.

Anyway, Nice photo. The effects are good.

MS Paint? Expressive? Deep? Oh em gee.

It was fantastic, though the moon wasn't as good as the rest of the pic. It looked like an albino version of a Huntsman-style cheese blend :/

Woah, gigantic signature. Fyi, people are more interested in the picture than your name, y'know? If you ever paint or draw for real, having a signature that big will immediately make the piece worthless, unless you're Michelangelo =/

Nice art my friend. Paint.net is very interesting indeed, i suggest you try it out. I have been using for quite a while now.
