From the beginning of man war has lived in our hearts and minds, from fighting for religious beliefs, for new territory, to spread "democracy", to downright anger, war is something all people have in common, even back before Christ there were many great wars, Greece v. Persia, Islam (?) V. Jerusalem and Egypt V. Rome (I think.)

Now to the story.

You a general, have just received news your country has gone to war (More story shall be decided after you make your character.) with a nearby tyrant territory with corrupt ways. Your King decides to send you in to draw first blood, your troops are awaiting your commmand. (I know short op story but all will be revealed once you make your character that's when we get into the advanced story.) We shall begin the campaign tomorrow.

Name: Something that matches your country/culture
Country: Look below
Rank: General (duh, you may become a king once you gather enough victories and etc.)
Age: 21-40
1st Garrison size: 500
1st Garrison location: Depending on country
2nd/Backup Garrison size: 350
2nd Garrison location: Depending on country (You have the ability to add more garrisons later on.)
Elites (Veterans.): 0
Catapults: 0
Naval Ships: 0
Cavalry/Chariots: 100
Current strategy:
Special Ability: Depends on country
Equipment: Standard swords and bows

COUNTRIES

Greece: Probably the most dominant in Naval warfare (Because of the discovery of Greek fire) Greece is a relatively small nation made up of city states, such as Athens, Sparta etc... has the most loyal soldiers, it's strategy usually consists of using Phalanxes/Hoplites to use their shields to basically out defend the enemy (Defensive minded player.)
Persia: The best archers and horsemen in the game, Persia's strategies usually consist of tricking the enemy into a trap, yet if the opponent reacts accordingly to the trick the Persians do not have that many trained combatants (more for the strategic thinking player.)
Egypt: With the highly trained Egyptian army you can use your experienced infantrymen to either flank or bash straight on into the opponent. Their weakness is Naval warfare (For the on foot player.)
Islam: Highly religious Islam is also growing power, the advanced Islamic weapons make any fight a more favorable one, and they are also the most loyal, yet they get tired after traveling all the way up from Africa so they are quite fatigued. (not time realistic :P more for the weapon maker type player.)

Have a good time.

EVERYONE?
Everyone is trained?
*sigh*
Have our melee soldiers(in the city only, mind you) fall back from the civilians and have the archers kill them all. Then we will use the city's own parapets and defenses against it: we will post archers up there who will keep away the enemy armies for as long as possible with the combined efforts of everyone outside the city(including the reserve camp soldiers) while the melee fighters inside the city burn it to the ground as quickly as possible. Once the city's been destroyed, we retreat, because that was our mission, and we don't want to overdo it.

the soldiers pull back, suffering only minor loses (Defensive specialty poweh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The archers are not very well (DEFENSIVE SPECIALTY CON!!!!!!!!!!!)
and only hit about 20 of the civilians which are now beggining to armor up and head out to your army.

Any other strategy?

Sidestory, Owlurians: Worshipers of the Owl they are very wise, and have probably the highest military standard of all nations, making everyone from age five! train for soldiership for a minimum of ten years, they have HIGHLEY trained soldiers in every division.

If you wish I shall make more of a story for the Owlurians (Sorta thought of that on the spot.)

Okay, our specialty is defense.
1. Archers climb parapets and towers and such. Each archer is accompanied by one bodyguard footsoldier. These archers will keep enemies away from the city as well as defending allies on the ground level if they see that they are in trouble.
2. All of the soldiers on the ground will go to the city. The enemy will be prevented from following by the archers in the towers. The soldiers will rendezvous shortly and then burn or similarly destroy the city utterly. A few soldiers can be tasked to helping the archers defend the city.
3. The archers and their guards come down from the towers, meet up with the ground soldiers, then run away as quickly as possible. Our mission was to destroy the town, not the army.
All of these will be aided by our defensive skills.

1. the citizens have hunting bows and arrows and shoot them down with ease, only a few make it down.
2. The Owlurians have picked off the archers and easily follow a band of soldiers to the rendezvous!

Turn ended early. cause: Ambush from Owlurian's backup garrison.

This is getting annoying >.<

Everyone will set the city on fire in multiple points then run away.

I don't want to make a big strategy this time because they just lose one element and the whole thing goes to hell. >=(

That's what happened back then dude xD

you set fire to the city and begin running, they quickly find this out and begin trying to clear the fire, they send a garrison of 100 chariots after you! (lol)

(Remember EVERYTHING comes into play, Geographically, and amongst other things: hunger, thirst, morality etc...)

That's why I said multiple places.
Keep running. Their civilians kicked our sorry ***es, we'll never stand a chance against their soldiers.

What else are we supposed to do, fight them?
See, now, this is why I love the 21st century. All we have to do is press a button and a laser-guided missile blows the crap out of our target.
What am I supposed to do now?

*Cough* report to the king *cough* you report your sorta loss to the king, he is disappointed, yet he assigns you to escort a Merchantman ship to Corinth.

When you arrive you quickly set sail, halfway through the trip Owlurian ships begin attacking! (seeing if you're good at Naval strategy in such case I shall make this a battle of the navies )

1. First ship will shoot then retreat; when the warship goes to attack them, second ship attacks then retreats.
2. Repeat.
