Because our version (in the beginning of this thread) was more interactive. Not just propose a bill and vote on it.
It you add a lot of features (veto, bribing with points (cookies ), etc.) it would be more fun.
Well players were making up rules out of the air which led to chaos. If there is to be such a thing as a veto you cannot get it just because you say you have it. Once players win points then of course they can use them to bribe other people. I know that some people need to have points awarded, so just see how many total votes a proposition has gotten and if it is at 10 and the vote is positive you get them, otherwise you do not. I just did not want this game to die so fast as the original did once everything got out of control. I had almost no guidelines for it and that was what killed it in the end.
Since the veto did add some spice if 3 players veto a bill THEN action must be taken to overrule said veto.
As for the cookie thing the only reason was that in the original there was a player that would vote solely by whether or not he liked the cookie that someone offered him. Hence the Ban. I hereby lift the ban on cookie giving, but should Idiocracy (interesting movie btw) return the ban will be reintroduced.
I hope it is now clearer why I cut back on some of the craziness that was going on before, I simply did not wish this thread to come to the demise of the original.
I will take the time to sort through who deserves points at this point :P and post it promptly.
My vote count doesn't quite match up but that no big deal. Just have to keep closer track of it. By my reckoning Alpha's firearms bill has passed and he is awarded 5 shiny points to do with whatever he will. Still hotly debated is gay marriage. The smoking ban, space station, and science conference all show great signs that they will be passed but they need a few more votes to get a quorum. Both the instaban and physics proposals are now to be voted upon as well.
I propose an extension of the Geneva Convention to contain all U.N. countries, and a much harsher punishment if it is broken. I'm not sure if this is an amendment or a new bill?

I suggest/propose a change to the Man On The Moon Project; to extend it further than the moon(as in Mars) and to use the project for a more lucrative process than just to say we did: to look for energy sources as proposed before.
