Growing up my mom was catholic so celebrated on a religious level. As an atheist I enjoy the holiday. I like giving gifts to my friends and loved ones. I also get to have my F*&%ing egg nog!

Christmas can be enjoyed just as well as a holiday of the season with no religious implications as it can with those religious parts added in.

Very true Mage. I am christian but it is not much of a religious holiday to me.

Yes.

Yet no one in my family is religious. NO ONE.

More meaningless presents for me. xD (religious wise)

We celebrate christmas, but we don't put our whole heart into it. We don't spend hours christmas shopping, having big gatherings, etc.

Yes, but I'm not religious at all.
They go to christmas eve mass, but just because their father went to church all the time.

Also, we just put up our tree last night, and it takes 2 minutes to assemble. Literally. And it's pre-lit.

But we make up for it by giving each other presents..............

Aye, me first Scottish Christmas creeps on on me like a wee tiger cub hungry for it's dinner.

that made me laugh my ass off.
just curious, how heavy are the accents there?

Of course I celebrate Christmas. I'm agnostic, but that doesn't mean I can't celebrate the holiday(which is national in any case).
I mean...it wouldn't matter if I was the president of the Atheists Vehemently Against Religion League, I'd have to be in a straitjacket to pass up a chance for free presents and candies. xP
Lol. But seriously, it's not just about the religious aspect, it's a time of peace and goodwill, as well as having presents to give away! =D

Yesh we do .

It's more just eating, talking, and handing out a hundred gifts for 15 or so people in a crowded living room -_-'. But there are some religion-related things my relatives throw in.

Halloween smarty

You mean you don't get candy in your stocking and candycanes aren't in your tree? *shakes head sadly* At my house we get Christmas candy. Also; have you never heard of the very delicious gingerbread house?
