I don't get it. After about 20 years the zombies in anything have lost there infecting powers and now just kill instead of infect (besides resident evil). Does anyone have any reasons out there that zombies aren't infecting anymore?
Well you see. Zombies have taken over the world. Look around, there in games, movies, books, toilet paper. I mean, there in games that don't even involve them. (COD:WaW) In a sense, they have been used to the point where people are moving them on, with our generation.
No more of the slow walking pasty skinned old guy, but in with the running, blood dripping crazed freak. Know what I mean? Runners replaced the walkers, killing replaced the infection. Now a'days the infection is not as well explained by bites but more so medicine. Such as a so called cancer cure.
They are moving with the times, and where what was once 'scary' is now obsolete. We in todays world have a better chance of killing walkers then runners that name in the thousands.
Also, another note on L4D. The victims DO get infected. The reason your characters die is because (for some unknown reason) you are immune. Think of the crazy church guy in the first or the pilot in the second.
