Romans are good against marines, but cant hit air targets. You can make a roman shield to defend your base though. Tanks are unstoppable on the ground, but also cant hit air targets. Hover tanks are just upgraded chronite tanks. They are faster and stronger. Snipers are very weak by them selves, but in a large group with medics, they are unstoppable. scouts are an average air machine. They can hit ground targets and air targets, but are very weak. Marines are the weakest of all. They can take out scouts, but anything else kills them. Black queens are almost unstoppable. Attacking ground and air targets with deadly missles, and missle resistant armor, the only thing taking these badboys down is anti air. Anti air cannot hit ground targets, but destroy all air targets. Phantoms cannot hit air targets, but they rip ground targets to shreds. Missles can destroy huge groups of anything but anti air targets, sakatas, hover tanks, and black queens. sakatas are unstoppable against ground targets, but cannot hit air targets. prides are good against anything but tanks. Tanks blow them to bits. Long snipers have very low health, but can shoot further than any other target. Special forces teams have lots of upgraded men like snipers and marines and medics. Actually, I've found that enough Scouts can take out a black queen. just send a few forward as missile fodder, and when the queen is doing the 10 sec recharge, send forward your massive army of scouts to pwn it. Oh, and a Saint could take out a bq too, with its missile-resitant armor, heal, and chronite tank blast except to air targets.
And no, Snipers are not unstoppable without meds. One Sniper can take out one Chronite Tank before it gets close enough to shoot. Hover Tanks are another story, though. Hover Tanks almost have the same range as Snipers, so you would need quite a lot of Snipers to kill it before it kills you. But meds are quite useless with Snipers, since their low HP goes down too fast for the meds to heal.
You forgot the modded phantom and the modded sakata spider. They do more damage and survive longer than normal.
another awesome strategy ive found (works best in eq) is to have one person spam chronite tanks at the beginning and the other person spams meds. the faster u do this the better chance u have at killing the enemy base with the rush. being a fascist helps, but if u cant kill the opponent in one go, it leaves u open for attack.
yet another strategy is to have one person rush tanks, backed up with ur partner's scouts, and then have them stand in front of ur enemy base (not close enough for the base to shoot at you). this strategy is better for walling off (destroying every enemy unit as it spawns) until u can get units for destroying the enemy base (romans work well for this job).
NOTE: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, MAKE SURE UR UNITS MOVE TOGETHER, NOT SEPARATELY, SO THEY HAVE MORE POWER AND DEFENSE (of course, don't do this if ur opponent has missiles)!
I remember how I used to do it. I became invincible in 1-on-1 but I quit shortly after. Colony depends on your computer's speed; the person with the faster computer gets the advantage.
Anyways, start off capitalist and build two armories a generator and an outpost. Build tanks, and destroy your generator to build a forge. Then you can do a tank/roman rush with enough sakatas for anti-air. Then you can build hovers and phantoms if you are still playing.
