Zone 4 did have tons of unique and awesome enemies. But Zone 3 was a little bit easier. Which is why it was a little bit more fun. But, come to think of it. Zone 4 was a little bit longer. I don't know which..... I'll say Zone 4.
I like Zone 4 as well because of the uniqueness and the allusions to other things such as the bunny (monty python and the holy grail). it is a bit more challenging than 3, which was similar to Zone 2 in the original sonny, but that just adds to the fun, noone like a fast easy game that insults your intelligence (im assuming).
I liked zone 4, mainly because of the random monsters and the cool effects, but I have to say that it isn't my favorite, I honestly liked zone 7 the most because after everything before it, it just seemed easy and simple, rather than frustrating and time-wasting.
i agree with the Zone 2 being the hardest, if you can get past that you can beat the rest of the game without trouble (assuming you think through your strategy and not just copy someone else's.) Yay Zone 4!
my favorite is the last one in zone 2. but i do like one level where a priest says "sacrifice the intruders. their blood will save us from death" and then sonny says "but NOTHING will save you from me."
On a legend run, Zone 5 is way harder then Zone 2, and the actual difficulty of a level is best determined on a legend run.
I think zone 2 and 5 are kind of equal in hardness, during a pshyco legend run, i thought that zone 5 wasn't that hard, just tiresome. There were 1-2 enemies that really ticked me off (specialists, hounds) but they wern't that hard. I hated zone 2 though, you have all the hard battles with the cult, befor that you have the frost monsters and to top it all off you have hounds and the baron, nightmare.
Anyway, i liked zone 4 for the unique battles (holy grail reference. lol) and zone 3 for the wonderful gear it gave out and the real hobo (lol again)
zone 3 and 4 were best. 1 was boring because it was the introductory level, 2 was hard cuz it was just those stupid knight priest mage fights. 3 was a bit easier and a nice break, 4 had some fun characters and offered a desent challenge, 5 was pretty hard. i never got to 6 or 7 because i got bored of trying to get legend although i did make it to the middle of zone 5 on legend mode
