Air is polluted in the cities, breathing all that smoke can't be good for lungs. But it can't be avoided if you are a pedestrian in an urban region. Old vehicles are extremely eco-hostile.
pollution is bad but most of it isn't man made, it comes from natural resources or otherwise our use of natural resources. so we should stop blaming people for the earth's pollution.
True natural sources cause more pollution than humans ever could, but we need to increase our technology to the point where not only are we not putting any pollution into the environment but actually pulling some out of it. Because as it is we're only making life worse for ourselves.

it doesn't balance out. sunlight is ultraviolet rays, heat is infrared rays. the sun's energy is converted and heat is given off from the earth. so its keeping it in.
