I think it would be better to have a search box for the forums , because it would really cut down on copied threads .
Im not sure if this has already been posted , but I thought I would give it a try .

That's a pretty good idea, my friend, but if you visit here then you will find that a search engine has already been made. Unfortunately, the team of web designers for AG did not incorporate it into the site for some reason, likely because it was too complicated or just took too much time.
So just add that in your bookmarks or favorites and whenever you need it just click-click and you're there. Should be simple enough.

because it would really cut down on copied threads

You kinda self-contradicted yourself there. If you looked in the Stickied Threads in the first place(the ones in bold with little thumbtacks on them) then you would have seen Forum Search in big letters. Oh well, let's hope it doesn't happen with anyone else.

I agree with that. It's a great idea, but you should be able to search for things in certain categories too.

Well if you know what you're looking for, there really isn't any need for it, now is there?

And I don't think you would find something on U.S. Congress in the Tavern or Forum Games section. Even if that does happen, who cares, it's just an extra 2-3 minutes or so in the making of a thread.

Great contradiction! Make a double thread on how to reduce double threads! LMAO =D

No seriously, the idea is great and there is (just like others stated above) already a search engine, one or a 1000 who counts, but you can make them on your own with google real easy! Tried that?

A user has already made their own forum search. It's pretty accurate and seems to have worked for me whenevr I've used it:
