We all know the game of Dodgeball. Two teams, a load of balls and some very fast-paced action. This game sees you trying to get all of the enemy out, while they do the same to you. The game is also loaded with purchasable balls, which give you bonus powers! Anway, let's look at how to play.
To join the game, just post, saying you want in. I'll deal with teams, so don't worry. You will be given a standard ball to use. Balls regenerate before every match, so you can't stockhold, or take enemy balls. Moving on...
The game starts with everyone holding all their balls. This is a sort of TBS, and every "Turn" is split into two phases.
Action-Either pick up a ball, throw a ball, block with a ball, get ready to catch a ball or do nothing.
Dodge-Either Dodge or Don't Dodge.
All actions during the action phase are messaged to me. All dodge-related ones are posted on the thread. Anyway, looking at what you need to specify when actioning;
Throwing; The ball you will use and the target. Picking up; The ball ou want to pick up-it has to be on your side. Blocking; The ball you are to block with.
Catching and Doing Nothing don't require much other info. Did I mention the back wall counts as a player? There are some advantages to throwing at it, but more on that later.
No-one will recieve any info about what's going on. You must decide whether to dodge or not dodge. If you dodge when a ball is coming to you, you are free. All blocks and catches are cancled, but at least you're safe. If you dodge when there are no balls coming your way, you will be retargeted to a random ball with those aimed at the wall taking priority. Standing your ground when no balls are flying at you will result in safety as well.
Resolving Collisions; If you are being targeted by a ball and are not dodging/blocking, you are hit, out and all other balls going to you drop to the floor. If you are ready to catch, then the first ball coming to you will be caught. A random player will be brought back in, and the person who threw the ball is OUT. Any further balls hit you and you're out. Blocking provides protection from one ball-the second makes you drop the ball, the third means you are OUT.
Resolving Turn; Any balls that hit a player('s block) drop down into the half of the player. All balls that hit the back wall have a coin flipped against them. Heads, they roll over the halfway line. Tails, they stay inside the half. Remember, YOU CAN ONLY PICK UP BALLS ON YOUR OWN HALF. I'll then make a post about locations of balls.
Game ends when either one team is all out, or 20 turns elapse. Then, everyone gets AC(Armor Cash) to spend on new balls.
