Things are also changing for the better tho. As the Asian populations become less insular, and the children become part of society, this will become less of a problem. Right now we have polish people everywhere in edinburgh. Some ppl dont like it. I hear the same crap. "they took our jobs" "Durka durka duuurk durk" (south park reference) I think they fit in. They are dour and have a sarcastic sense of dirty, slightly dark humour. Sounds like the scots to me.
South Asians aren't liked by a minority, most people aren't ignorant enough to have a problem.
There was an article in the metro paper today about Obama. Someone had left a black doll hanging outside a shop. One woman commented saying something along the lines of "we all like him, we dont care, this is a good place to live, but there are a minority who dont like him (obama)"
