i really think they are i mean 60-70$ just for a disk? when all they do is download it to a disk and it coast like 2 cents for them to do that...and microsoft points to i mean 20$ for 1200 and little arcade games coast that much? i mean microsoft is worth billions of dollars so why do they half to make way more? and same with gameing companys like MWF2 Ifinity ward has mad millions off of that game. but over time games like rainbow vegas to go to 20 dollars? whys that?
I dont think would even make a profit if it was any cheaper as it is i watched a program that microsoft allways loses money each quarter it was actually a good show it was about video game history
It is quite expensive, but most people stick with a certain genre or two. I normally spend my time with a good in-depth RPG or a fast-paced shooter. Good games in a certain genre, or part of a series you like don't come out every other week, so it's not as if you're spending £30 on a regular basis - unless you do buy every game on the shelf and play it, which I doubt. :P

Tom Clancy's Raimbow 6: Vegas? That was released in 2006, unless an item is 100 years old and an antique it will not remain the same price, and certainly will not go up in price.

Remember how much time and money is needed to create the game. The most expensive games are likely to be the ones that cost the most to make, and setting them at high prices is the only way for the creators to make a profit.

True, but aren't mostly all new games that come out cost the same amount of money? Like MW2 It cost the same as other video games that had come out, I doubt making the game cost way to much, and they made a huge profit outta the cost of the game.
the prices are high but i know a way to get around it. its called let your friends borrow your games and then borrow their games. it's like haveing twice as many games for the price of one.
I dont think they are. But I only buy the best games of a system and try to pay no more then 1 dollar for each hour of gameplay and I almost always meet that goal(Ive played thru Zelda TP twice so thats about 100+ hours for 50 dollars).
Its common practise to charge a lot of electronics, usually around 3x the cost it takes to make it(labour, parts, ect). But video games for example are highly over priced.
you pay what 300$ for a x box 360 elite and 60$ a game i mean god man what a waste of money. you could buy a good dirt bike for that much and actually ride it?
