I like it. A enjoyable game, although it does have a downside. Graphics are decent but the background just doesn't cut it for me, still its ok. The enemies themselves are drawn and animated a little better then the background, so I guess that is has some good graphics (as in the enemys). Music is overall ok, although I didnt really like it. I would like to see a bit more music since you only get that little piece of music in the weapon shop. Could be a bit better, but this is only my opinion. The game play is good, but nothing really new except the achievements and that made some parts repetitive.I would also like to point out that I think the achievements are well set and good.

Graphics: 8/10. as i said not a good combination but still deserves a 8/10
Music: 5/10. Like I said, its not really there
Game Play: 7/10. I enjoyed if for much longer then i expected but its still only gets a 7/10
Overall: 7.5/10 nothing new just the same thing there are plenty of these out there

do you think this is a good review please tell me since yeah i want to get a merit and i have never seen a merit EVER from anyone i tried to follow merit guides and thats what i came up with

oh and its not for the points i would rather just rate every game blindly then get a merit if i was point hungry

and please play the game before you say anything about my review the game is new and called Snomageddon

people who have merits i will most likely take into account more then people who dont

i know mods rarely give out merits anymore but still why not give it a shot

AND IM NOT ASKING FOR A MERIT im asking for help

Seeing as I have the most merits out of any active users and that I'm also a mod. I must be the most important person on this thread. ... hahaha? ...

I haven't played the game, yet I can still comment on your review. It doesn't tell me much that is specifically from that game. It is vague and general. It is not entirely identifiable. The only identifiable bit, perhaps, is the music in the shop. It could be many different games other than Snomageddon. How do I know that's about Snomageddon? Slapping on the games name would not convince me either.

As far as I know, it's a game where the background is drawn worse than the enemy with okay music that only shows up in the shop and achievements that make the game repetitive. That could possibly be Sonny 2, if it weren't for the fact that they had music everywhere.

I would like for you to delve deeper into the game and pull more out from it. What really amazes/annoys about the game or is it really that bland and generic that it's not really worth saying much about. Then what could make it stand out within the scope of the game? After all, you did say "nothing new just the same thing there are plenty of these out there"

Also, your rating system is weighted against the music, since 8, 7, and 5 don't average out to the overall rating of 7.5 but is closer to 6.5. Any reason that might be? If it were for synergistic effects or one thing compensating for another, then why not mention it?

I like Snomageddon. A enjoyable game, although it does have a downside. Graphics are decent but the background just doesn't cut it for me, it doesn't change at all and its just 5 or so trees with a red background. Why is it red? Is there pollution or what? If so it doesn't say. Maybe if you had a storyline after each day the players would be able to know whats going on. The snowmen themselves are drawn and animated a little better then the background, and have different types so I guess that is has some ok graphics when the two are put together.

Music is overall ok, although I didn't really like it. I would like to see a bit more music since you only get that little piece of music in the weapon shop and its a loop. Could be a bit better, but this is only my opinion.

The game play is good, but there isn't much weapons and they don't have much change its just BUY THE BEST GUN and then you would be good. The different types of snowmen went well though, but i think the ones that stay underground till they get to the house isn't really a good idea. I would also like to point out that I think the achievements aren't well set out i think it needs to be possible to get all of them in campaign and you shouldn't have to get head shots on most of the snowmen another answer to this would to make more days and moving around.

Graphics: 8/10. as i said not a good combination but still deserves a 8/10
Music: 4/10. Like I said, its not really there

ok i put a bit more detail

i just need 1 more topic to talk about

and i don't know if i should use paragraphs

In my opinion it comes down to these (simple) things...

- Always write honestly and what your gut (is that proper spelling? *blushes*) tells you about the game.
- Use good and proper spelling and grammar WITH paragraphs for better reading.
- Write about the game with specific details you liked/disliked and why.
- Be original in your writing, without repeating the same things in every review you make.
(that's my problem at the moment... I have a sort of 'writers block' and can't seem to get out of it)
- Don't write a book, write a review that attracts people to read it and enjoy it.

Well, that's about all I come up with about my 'reviewing skills'... and mind yourself, I'm not all that great or 'the best' in writing reviews, just someone who likes to write them...

Could be a bit better, but this is only my opinion. The SFX was ok actually but some guns just didn't sound right and sounded completely different to what it should sound like. Especially the mini gun it just sounds weird and different to what it should sound in real life i know its hard to make the sounds real but it would only add at the most 2 days to your work to make them sound real.

ok i just added a SFX review in the music im just about to submit it

i know i wont get a merit because well i technically i asked for it but this thread probably helped me for further merits (if i try)

Much better. Definitely more comprehensive and in-depth and I actually have an inkling as to what it's actually about. It's a shooter... Storm the House style with waves of attacking smowmen.
