thats the worst logic I've ever seen. It completely depends on surroundings and what the situation is. For example, if the ninja was assaighned to assasinate him, the the answer is obvious. But if they just happened to cross paths, I highly believe samurai will win.
It counts on the situation. If in an open field then the samurai has some chance. In the midst of night in a chamber, the ninja wins no challenge. So however you look at it, the ninja wins.XD
Eh go watch Deadliest warrior and not all your anime....If a samurai is a professional soldier and a ninja a guerrilla fighter pretty much what they are like...
Samurai, if it would be one on one. Ninja are more prone to assassination and espionage, not one on one battle. For battle they operated in groups, while the samurai usually fought by themselves in strong armor. Also, samurai were pretty much higher up on the feudal system in Japan (Shougun->Daimyo-Samurai->Ronin[Mercenaries]).
Samurais have lots of decent armor and all that. If a ninja came out of hiding and hit the perfect mark (throat, for example), the ninja would win. But if they missed, the samurai wouldn't be badly injured and could cut down. In groups, it's even worse for the ninjas...not that I think ninjas fought in large groups...
Well, the question is if a ninja fights a samurai or assasinate a samurai. Ninjitsu is a highly defensive style, so in a fight the ninja could manage to escape his armored foe, not win. Samurai were warriors; not unlike ancient spartans they did little else than fighting and training to fight. In an open fight a ninja will have little hope to survive. But if in the night, while the samurai is sleeping, the ninja strikes...
i think ninjas are way better, they have stealth and speed and th are overall just awesome. (btw everyone in my grade loves ninjas, we even had a ninja day in science)
