I have few questions for homework and one of them is how does bees survival when beekeeper take ther honey, please answer quick (I cant find answer on google )
Well, its not as simple as you might think. You may think that bees crave sweet things, but in reality bees need sticky things in order to survive. Bees don't actually eat honey, they use it to trap what they do eat: bears (this is why honey sometimes comes in bear shaped containers). You've seen Winny the Pooh, right? Then you know that honey is like cocaine to bears. They're all honey junkies. After the bear reaches his paw up into the beehive, all of the bees attack it at once. The bear, with his paw stuck in the sticky honey, is trapped and helpless. A good sized beehive can devour a bear in a matter of seconds. But after a beekeeper has taken all of the bees' honey, they have no way to attract and catch a bear. Therefore, it is up to the beekeeper himself to supply the precious bear meat. Usually they accomplish this by setting out traps baited with cherries, which bears also love. Then, the beekeeper must fight the bear to death using a sword. This is why beekeepers usually wear a fencing outfit. Finally, the beekeeper butchers up the bear and feeds it to his bees, providing them with much needed meat.
Fun fact: The Polish term for beekeeper, bojownik o niedźwiedzie, literally translates to "fighter of the bears." A picture of a beekeeper and a fencer: Notice the similarities.
