You can train your tailoring, smiting and enchanting. Once you hit 1000.0 in them you can create real cool items. Some of the best items in the game.
You create them by just going to smith's study's or stitching school. An option box comes up at random and asks if you want to create an item. The higher the skill the better the item and the better chance of making it. If you make it successfully you also get an option to enchant it. The higher the enchant skill the better as well.
lol, then how is your success calculated ? Because I was quite rich and had a lot of things such as temperament up to 1000 ... I have to fight in the dungeons ?
maybe this will help to organize the hero's studies:
if you work as a.../ you will get a plus of.../a minus of.../ and a status point of... sweeper/humility/compassion/dexterity babysitter/compassion/humility/wisdom rat catch/bravery/refinement/strength labourer/temperament/refinement/constitution scribe/refinement/bravery/intelligence squire/tactics/compassion/charisma nurse/healing/charm/wisdom builder/construction/refinement/strength tailor/tailoring/bravery/dexterity smith/smithing/compassion/constitution hunter/scavanging/temperament/wisdom librarian/enchanting/bravery/dexterity musician/charm/humility/charisma apprentice/enchanting/tactics/wisdom politician/charm and refinement/-/charisma warden/compassion and magic defense/-/constitution banker/refinement and scavanging/-/intelligence guard/bravery and combat attack/-/strength ninja/tactics and combat defense/-/- trainer/temperament and bravery/-/wisdom
furthermore you get status points while studying, but i only figured out these three (i didn't think about trying on ^^): combat training -> strength magic training -> intelligence mixed combat -> constitution
