I might have the title changed later. I couldn't honestly think of another title, so that it is, and that it shall remain for the moment. Hope you guys like it. You could call it a never ending story, as I'll try to make it never ending. This is a modified version of the war inside my head, and I though I'd use the gigabytes of imagination flow onto paper. I've had this little story in my head for nearly seven years, since I was six. The names are changed from the original version, but no matter. The personalities are the same, and the universe(s) are as well. I'll try at at least one every three days. Anyways, enough background info and random blabbering, on with the show.

Chapter 1

"You sure you want to do this?"
"Positive."
"This could severely damage your DNA. That, and we could forget about you and you'll be damn well stuck in this eternal hell forever."
"I'm sure, Doc, I'm sure."
"Okay. Step into the chamber."
The two voices were that of Mal Haliper and Doc Flak, of which the two are on a mission: Create a stasis device that could freeze people for indefinite periods of time. It had been successful in freezing small animals for well over thirty years, but Mal was the first human to be frozen for more than a few days.
He stepped into the freezing chamber, and the lid closed with an audible click. He was now in a chamber no bigger than a small closet, and he could very well spend the next fifty years in it, even eternity. He glanced around at the octagonal gray chamber, and signaled for Doc to begin the process.
He was soon falling asleep, as the concoction of gases known as Area Gas filled the chamber. Just as his mind went totally unconscious, an electrical current was passed through the gas, immediately freezing him. The current continued to pass through him until his heart stopped, at which point needles shot into his body, injecting chemicals that made sure his brain didn't die.
Doc monitored his stasis over the next several hours, which were critical. If he didn't react to the treatment properly, he would have to be recovered so that he didnât die.

Several days passed, and Mal was being monitored around the clock, making sure that he didn't die. When midnight hit, seven days into the process, the critical week expired. Now he was free to receive the final step in treatment. An extremely high voltage surged through his body, lighting up the whole room, and searing his very DNA. His 'Death Clock' was turned off, and his cells were bound together tighter than ever, making them incapable of aging, but still reproducing. A regular current would have to be passed through his body for the next several years before his cells would stop reproducing erratically.
Weeks turned into months, months into years. When they electrical damaging of his cells was complete, most just forgot about him. Everyone except Doc, who by this point was doing nothing but sitting in the control room eating chips and burgers, all year round. It took almost ten years for him to realize nothing was going to happen, and finally gave up and carried on with his life.
Within a year, Mal was forgotten about entirely. The old lab which held him was shut down, and he was presumed dead, and left there for eternity.
Now years were nothing but a second. He was forgotten about, with humanity carrying on its merry way. Over the years, wars ravaged Earth; genocides and disasters even further. The lab crumbled around him, until nothing but the small room in which the near indestructible chamber was held was left. This heavily fortified room was designed to with stand direct nuclear attacks, simply because of how valuable what was held within is. Centuries passed, and soon millennia. The city far above was destroyed and rebuilt many times, crushing all below.

4400 Years Later

"Doc, you know these halls better than anyone. We're going in the right direction, correct?" a voice echoed through what was left of the lab.
"It should be up ahead," Doc replied.
"It had better be. Your thousand year old memory better be good," another said.
Doc had survived the years, due to the mutations caused by being around these stasis experiments. His very DNA had been altered, doing the same it had to Mal.
As the small group approached the room, they noticed the control room on their left, old and decrepit. It was virtually destroyed, crushed millennia of dirt and debris. The command consol was the only thing that could open the chamber without killing Mal, and Doc knew it.
They entered the room, half expecting a complete cave in at any moment, as had happened in many other parts of the building. They hooked up a small generator to it, and opened the chamber. Red lights in the ceiling flashed and alarms went off, putting everyone but Doc on alert. He was expecting this, knowing it to be normal. He walked out of the room, and followed along the wall until he came to a large door. It felt out of place, but he knew what was on the other side.
"Here I go," he whispered to himself.
He opened the large door, surprised at its ease of opening. As he walked in he caught the sharp almond-like smell of Area Gas. Knowing that the seal was broken, he walked over and lifted the hulking door off, and backed off from the chamber.
Inside was an enraged Mal Haliper, having been awakened from his eternal slumber. Doc pulled out his taser, ready for a confrontation. Mal charged out like a suicide
bomber, and immediately set upon Doc. He was smashing his face until it was broken, and Doc was knocked unconscious. Docâs teammates ran in and separated the two, and tased Mal. He was thrown to the floor and stomped on the head, knocking him out.

Several hours later both Doc and Mal were in a hospital at the surface, suffering from concussions and broken bones. Mal was put into the Psych Ward suffering from Static Psychosis, suffered by an enormous amount of time in stasis.
Soon this would change, so long as he regained his sanity. Doc also needed to be treated for said ailments, as he got the worst of it. They had no idea that very soon they would be thrust into a war they never saw coming.

Thoughts?
