Hey i have never played Call of Duty or Fallout or any of those games that people love so much, my friends say that i am an alien for that cause they are amazing games so i am thinking i would try one of those games out. What is the best popular game you know of that you think a starter would like?
Alright man first of all, your nothing because your not doing what everyones doing. Its alright to like whatever you want. Modern Warfare 2 was jus thype by the way, i tried it out and its just an ugly game. Too many things going on at once and its just pointless. You should try an RPG game because you actually enjoy it and explore. I would recommend Fable 2 or like oblivion. Fallout is made by the makers of oblivion and is a great game too man also recommended.
Modern warfare is more popular but its nothing but hype and fanboys saying "Oh im so cool! im playing call of duty" it is a good game though for the first few days decent story line ect great online play but id really suggest getting fall out 3 its great ive got at least 100hours of non-stop fun Awesome!! storyline its great plenty of weapons good challenge dont just blow through it like COD (call of duty) so id suggest Fall out 3 less hassle to get online hooked up because you dont need it ;D better game just all around
Yeah, Infinity Ward really fucked up with CoD 6, the only reason I play it now is because of the addiction. Connection wins you the game in CoD 6 - if your ping is low you can kill people by knifing them whilst they're not even on your screen. The only reason it's popular is because, as aforementioned, there was a lot of hype and little kids that think they're the coolest people ever for getting 40 killstreaks regularly. Storyline sucks too: it's just Call of Duty 4's storyline with a new big, bad Russian terrorist.
Fallout 3, Oblivion - they're popular games that are genuinely deserving of the hype that they received - so they're good choices.

you dont have to buy these games. If your friends are so conserned with you playing these games they should let you borrow them or play them at their houses.
I think it's not nice to call your friend an alien in the first place.. My friends play COD every day for several hours, it's the only thing they can really talk about.. I think that's rather pathetic, but that's my opinion

On ps3 i think it's uncharted, assasin's creed or ratchet and clank.. For beginners ratchet and clank is the best "fighting" game
