David Bowie doesn't even have to try to make music like he does. The Muse tries too hard, and it almost never comes out right. Rebel Rebel is an all-around better song, because you can feel the passion in every part of it; whereas the Muse is just in it for the popularity. David Bowie was too, but not in that particular song. That one was one he just sat down and wrote and greatness emerged from his pen. That's the way music should be, not the way the Muse does it.
although i do not agree that greenday is one of the worst bands of all time i have to vote against "american idiot" because i like the lyrics and the tune better in "Rebel Rebel"
