Who will win the world cup in soccer? Brazil, most likely. I don't know why, but they seem like they would win it. Them or England. Or Mexico. Or Bhutan.
*sigh* why am i the only one to like soccer? and why does everyone bet on the best teams honestly i would have to say Italy would win they always get close and if they can survive without playing a ultimate team they have it in the bag
I am Italian, but I don't think that this year Italy will win. The defenders are old and slow and the strikers score very rarely. This time Italy will probably not manage to go even to the semifinals.
Why do you call it soccer? It's football (you hit the ball with your foot). Don't worry goumas13, Italy always gets through. Always. At least to the semifinals. Basil is always a candidate for the trophy but I think that Spain will do good this year, and England, and Netherlands, and Argentina... When you think about it it's hard to say who will win it. That's way it's so interesting. I don't expect much from France. Judging by the qualifications.
I have a feeling about The Netherlands team this year. They survived the "Group of Death" in Euro '08 and their defense has improved since then. They are also one of those teams that can put 2 or 3 goals up in a short time. Very dangerous.
BTW i think that Spain has good chances. The problem is, they are always good but win (most times) nothing. I hope that Spain, Germany or Switzerland (xD) wins.
any team can win this year well any good team (spain and all those other teams you mentioned) if they don't end up playing a ultimate team like i said its a pretty easy win
and i still like Italy i reckon if they don't win they'll come close or they'll lose the first round and get knocked out instantly. Then i'll be going for Spain

I find it funny how soccer has become the word complete laymen use to describe the sport, yet it was also the original term used by the Englishmen who invented it.

They also leak goals like a seive.
4-3-3 is a formation etched in Dutch stone, yet it is based on the idea of total football. A strategy which has become defunct due to the advent of the holding midfielder a la Makelele.
As for who's going to win it? Spain are still the team to beat. No one can match the quality they have in midfield, as well as the striking power of Villa and Torres.
England won't get any further than the semis as much as it pains me to admit. We simply don't have the goalkeeper who's up to the job, which is a pretty fatal flaw if you wish to win a world cup.
