After being on the Armor Games community for a year or so now, I have decided that 30% of Armor Gamers do not know what grammar is. Using proper grammar can have side effects such as: sounding intelligent, being taken seriously, and not looking like an a-hole.

Today, I found a website with many funny articles, but I am not here to share the website with you. I am here to share three articles I have found on the website that explain the usage of a semicolon, an apostrophe, and 10 words you need to stop misspelling. These articles can be found in the following links.

How to use a semicolon (and some tips on comma usage)

How to use an apostrophe

Ten words you need to stop misspelling

Even though I already knew what semicolons, apostrophes, and the correct usage of the ten words mentioned in the article, the articles explained the concepts to me better than my 6th through 8th grade English classes (and in a more humorous manner).

So, I encourage you all to read these three articles, especially that 30% I mentioned earlier.

On a serious note, people are stupid. They probably haven't passed an English class in their life. Others are foreigners without the slightest idea of what English means.

What does English mean?
Learning grammar in English is like riding a bike with only one wheel down a hill. If anything actually does happen, you can be sure it will hurt as hell.
As seen above: I don't get the comma rule.

On the '10 Words You Need to Stop Misspelling': Even I get those right> >... Still amused by the than/then confusion, though. Why does that happen?

I do not know if the "I'll" at the end of your paragraph would count as one even though it is technically grammatically correct, but you just got over talking about how one should not use contractions when writing.

I was counting it as one. I might have to go pony shopping today...

It's annoying when people get affect and effect mixed up. Also, misuse of commas are annoying.

Thanks for letting us learn.
Some actually learned that today and some forgot it.

Maybe it's just your wrong and grammer is stupid.

I could agree with that.

But grammar can make a WHOLE lot of difference. Here is an example.

Ex:

Let's eat grandma vs. Let's eat, grandma

See? grammar is the difference between eating your grandma and eating with your grandma. You don't want to convey the wrong message, do you?

True, but it sure helps when you have good grammar.

Agreed, as I stated before, people take you more seriously when you have good grammar. When you "tawk lik dees" no one is going to take you seriously let alone understand what you are saying.
