Well as anyone that knows anything about our government knows that in 2010 the entire House of Representatives will be reelected. What do you think WILL happen, and what do you WANT to happen? What will YOU do yourself to make it so???
Myself, I think that the thing that has happened time and time again will take place. When Republicans are in power and there is trouble the Democrats get elected and vice versa. The so called "Tea Party" has been gathering a lot of support and they include a lot of people normally not interested in politics.
As for what I want to happen, this may surprise many of you. I eventually want the entire party system to collapse. I believe is simply leads to corruption with 40% voting for one side and another 40% voting on the other in most every election no matter who is running. It is a disgrace.
While I cannot fix this by myself I can support the people who run for office regardless of what they run as. It is their values that will sway me, not whether they are red or blue.
Note: This is not to turn into a fight as so many topics before it, but for civilized conversation.
Here's how I look at government: as long as nuclear bombs are not raining down on the US, they must be doing a good job. So I really don't care about anything about government after that.
