I think that there are too much results for one game that you type in. (exp. you type in jelly battle, and you get games that has nothing to do with jelly or battles.)

Yes, AG actually searches for tags as well as the name itself...

And it seems that it also searches for tags similar to the search input. Also, artists often improvise a lot when adding tags to their games, so that more people find it.

My suggestion is to use the built in 'age search' of many browsers (You know, the one that allows you to find certain words on the web page) when the results are too big.

There is an ag search engine that someone made, but I can't remember who made it.

But that's for the Forum, not the games (DDX and I made on, but his is the most famous). I have a game search on my Profile (DDX just made a forums one) though, although I would suggest using the one by AG for AG, as it's still pretty good.

It's based on tags and then name i think.. But i think it should just be based on the name.

Or if you are too lazy to search with google...

Take the most rare word in the title (or if those words are common use a tag)

AND. If still too many results come in press "ctrl+f"
And type in the game name (do this AFTER you search)

I think it might also search words in the description, but i might be wrong.

Also if your searching for any zombie game, do not search zombie

Not too many times in recent times...
And type in the game name (do this AFTER you search)

Someone else who came up with the same idea!
I think it might also search words in the description, but i might be wrong.

No, it might also be part of it (As people are complaining proves, the AG search is very broad, and takes many games into account).

Take the most rare word in the title (or if those words are common use a tag)

But searching a tag is a hit and go thing, as you don't know what tags the games you want have, and if they have what you search. Just type in the full name if you want the game to t least appear in the list.

That is because it also searches the Tags for the games, and not just the title. So any game that either had a tag of 'Jelly' or 'Battle' would show up in the search.

I just tried something out:

When you type in 'Jelly' you get one hit. Really small...

Watch this:

When I type in 'Jelly battle' the search list goes to over 80 hits. That means you have to be very, very picky about what words to pick, as AG doesn't show the games in order of 'Game with most word hits' it simply shows all the games that have at least one of the words in backwards alphabetical order.

People, be happy that AG doesn't look for games with words similar to what you typed in, like Google, otherwise the list would be endless (It would be nice if the search ordered games by 'Game with most hits' though).

I have to say, tags are sometimes very annoying, especially when there are too many on one game (There's an obvious reason why, but it still gets in the way).

Still... the question remains: 'do you get what you are searching for?'

I tried to search with the AG-searcher for games and when that didn't work, I used google to find my game, it never failed me!

And that's the most important thing if you ask me! I got what I wanted...
