Some games, there are goals, but if you make some games with goals to get armor points, that would rule.
The general reason we don't want that is because it's pretty much copying the idea of kongregate. And it would give many Kong users a reason to flame us. On the plus side, the fact we don't have goals/badges/achievements means AG keeps a sort of originality, pushing itself from other sites.
I like the fact that we don't have badges, on my kong acount, i used to play a game forever just to get 1 badge. It was annoying, took the fun out of the game, and made me look for another site to play flash games on. (Armor Games)
Then you shouldn't have played for badges. I find Kong is a great site for almost any kind of game you can think of.
Plus, AP is not really important, its not like these points will affect our lives in a good way.
Yes they do... ARMATARS!!! That's the reason of AP mostly. Although those stop at 10,000 AP, so when you pass that it's sort of different...
However, if you do want achievements, there are games that have them,
They are separate to the hosting site though, and just another feature of the game you play. If you really want achievements that bring points, go to Kongregate, as even if AG took up the idea, it would take a long, long time to integrate (Kong had it easier: Their chat is like an all-in-one machine, right from the start).

I disagree. You could say that kongregate "copied" the idea of badges from Xbox 360 achievements, and then you could say Xbox 360 achievements are copying older video games that implemented in game "achievements" or unlockables.
The idea of achievements is too broad to be completely owned or copyrighted/patented. (Look at how Myspace tries to look more and more like Facebook everyday. Notice how Myspace isn't in legal trouble for having a chat bar at the bottom of the site like Facebook. They did it a little different and the idea there is very general)
I think the reason Armor Games doesn't have badges or achievements is because; it would take a huge amounts of time and money for AG to think of, implement, and code game specific achievements for the 1000 plus games on the site.

I totally agree with this. A lot of flash games are only meant to be play for like a 20 minutes or so. When you add badges that take hours on end to get you end up playing a game for hours on end that was only meant to be fun in 5 minute amounts here and there. The achievements aren't going to be as fun as on Xbox 360, were the games are meant to be played for hours on end.
Most games on AG are 'small' games, that indeed are intended to keep you occupied for a maximum of half an hour... And there are some 'larger' games that involve several days for you to complete. This mix is very good and shouldn't be altered to get people to gain badges, achievements or goals!
The reason is because a lot of games already have that implemented inside the game!!!
All I see here is another way to get AG in changing the ways to gain AP's... leave it be people...
