The lightning theif the book is defenitly way better then the movie!THE books are always better than the movie,ok!But its still a good experience to watch the movie too right?
The movie sucked my dogs buffalo balls... and thats putting things lightly. It WAS NOT kid friendly even though it was SUPPOSED to be. They constantly said curse words, and it was a little freaky, even for me. They DID NOT go with the story AT ALL!!!!!!! The acting was horrible, and the story line was a piece of crap. The only good thing about the movie was the CGI, thats it.
They didn't put Clariese in it. (Or however you spell her name) And the characters didn't look like how Rick described them in the book. Er, I forgot what I was going to say next.
Grover in the movie was awesome. I love that dude. But if you compare it with the Grover in the books, they aren't alike. Annabeth is FRIGGIN BLONDE. And they had to make the kids older because who would really believe that a band of tweens can go across america and back again without being noticed? They should of added the Ares part. Cause that sets up the NEXT book. And Riptide was not a click pen. it was a cap pen. and he got the sheild from Tyson, not Luke. I love the books, but if I wouldn't of read the books before the movie, I would of probably liked it better.

They are half super natural being not just your avereage "tweens". And in the books they aren't "not noticed". Plus the mist, which plays a very omprtant role in the series with R.E.D. The red headed girl and all, oh how I hope they don't mess it up.

And you sound like my friend haha, she is completly obsessed with the series, and she noticed some things that I didn't. But most of these things I already knew.
Stan, read the books. 700000000 times better. The movie follows NOTHING! Not even the main enemy that stole the bolt. Grar! It also messed up the plot twist, the underworld 1. And the ENTIRE PLOT! It was really disappointing. Grover and Percy were cool though, well casted those two were, and the centaur I forgot his name, but he's amazing.
I posted a similar thread once and reviewed it, so I'm not going to go into detail now.
The books = AMAZING!!! The movie = I'd rather grow up to be a doctor specializing in heart transplantation. And I have a huuuuuge blood-phobia. Yeah, it really sucked. The movie is an insult to the books, and I really hate it. Just like what they did with Eragon. The acting was horrible in the movie, they either over-reacted or under-reacted to EVERYTHING. I CAN DO BETTER! And I'm horrid at acting! UGH!....
