Now, several years ago, an island off the coast of Long Island was bought by the United States government. It was said to be an animal research facility. It was well known for the unsupported facts by conspieracy theorists that many desieses came from this island, not cures. These facts were blown out of the water and forgotten. There were also stories of anthrax being studied there, which was better supported and more-so believed. Even so, the government denied it. In the movie "Silence of the Lambs" Hannibal Lector was offered homage there if he helped the FBI, of which he refered to as "Anthrax island"
Now, here is something interesting. A little while ago, rumors started to spread about another type of testing going on at Plum island. One other than desiese or anthrax. They said that humans were being researched at the facility. The movie by Martin Scorcesse, "Shutter Island" is said to be based off of these rumors. There is authorization for lethal force to be used to be removed from the island, with a strict "trespassers will be shot" policy. More and more people are believing this. Do you?

If you or any of us knew half the things the government was currently up to you'd be terrified as well as horrified, and that's just our government. Even the government doesn't know all of what is going on with government research. Some research that has been done by certain groups at times makes the Nazis look like girlscouts, but, I wouldn't worry all that much about it. This stuff goes on all the time but is normally stopped before it gets too far, half the crazy ideas the CIA has came up with have been thrown out (for example wanting to carry out terrorist attacks on U.S. soil to convince the public to go to war with Cuba in the 60's I believe but Kennedy absolutly refused to give them permission, recently declassified). And, if you think about it, isn't it better that these madmen that would like to do things that would make the Nazis look like girlscouts are caught up in so much buerocracy and red tape they can never get close to being able to do all that much, the best way to stop the evils of government (90% of the CIA's wishlist) is government incompitence, budget limits, and red tape.
What kind of human research? Depending on what and how they go about doing it it could be a good thing. Also, many government facilities have a shoot on sight policy.

Wajor, I do believe that she was talking to me. Let me explain why it is so likely that anthrax is being studied there. Anthrax, like most things, is a substance that comes from nature. It comes from a spore. This substance is highly toxic and deadly to both humans and animals. This is an island that studies animal desiase.
