because there isn't any system to moniter what is put on to armatars.

You don't have to have amatars, you can also just don't pick anything but i guess you can't upload an image because there will come pretty vulgair pictures with halfnaked people or playbunny etc... You always got that typ of persons it should be fun if you could upload your own image, but i think this is easier, you can also see which rank someone is when you see his picture

I don't really understand that. So many forums in the world allow you to simply get an avatar of the internet and how many forums have frequent cases whereby there's been a vulgar or rude avatar? Even if there were any rude avatars posted we do have a flag option and they'd probably get banned so I do not see the problem.

It would be a bit strange losing armatars though because I've learnt to recognise a lot of the frequent posters by there armatar, like I know if EnterOrion has posted because of that vicious looking praying mant- what the Hell is that EnterOrion? O_o

There is the armatar contests that you can submit armatars that might be used. But it is just safer and easier to have the armatars that are already aproved.

If you were allowed to choose and create armatars you may find others or even you with rude armatars. That's why you can't.
