Unfortunately there is no edit button but you can use microsoft word (if you have it) as a kind of prewrite.

yea this would be very very helpful! You usually catch your mistakes after you've written them and submit your post lol. I don't know why but I do that a lot so then you have to write another post so people could understand your previous post.

Please look here:

Rules And Common Suggestions

As the name suggests, it takes common suggestions. Near the bottom of Carlie's post is a list of many popular suggestions. One of them is post editing.

Post editing is (Along with a chat) the most common suggestion among newbies. Many people want it, and, if the admins like it, it will be added. But I warn you, users have been waiting for a long time for an edit post function, so don't expect it in the near future.

then you have to write another post so people could understand your previous post.

That must be one hell of a mistake, then. Most people would be able to understand a spelling error or someone misclicking a key, it is only when you start being generally incomprehensible that people might question you. And that would mean that the entire post would need to be rewritten because all understandable content is lost in weirdly twisted sentences.
And by then, you could just as much make a new post to explain yourself.
