Do you feel as if the media trashes rich people too much?
To me (I'm not rich), I see the media doing it constantly while when it comes to the poor and middle class people they are like "Oh, always them. We need to help them out.", sort of statements. I don't know whether it's a jealously issue, or if most of the audience is of the poor and middle class viewership, so they cater to them and bash on rich people to have the poor and middle class viewers feel better. I just don't see why they need to knock rich people down a peg and make these swift attacks on them. Easier targets? The rich aren't in a terrible/bad situation?
Oh, and another thing, when the media runs their video of rich people it usually consist of showing mansions, house boats and stores that jack up their prices so much that only the wealthy can shop there. It sort of follows the stereotype of the snooty rich person whereabouts they show places where only the wealthy could shop, though not all rich people live that life style. Some prefer a quiet, humble home and prefer to shop at Target rather than Sax Fifth Avenue.
Actually I feel as if it is the other way around. Every time I listen to Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh on the radio they seem to be defending rich people, claiming taxes on them are too high and such (even though Fox News is just a GREAT "news" channel (sarcasm)).
the media is just jealous of rich people. thats why it tries to say as many bad things about them as possible.
Lets take Hello! magazine for just one example, they take the piss outta rich ppl, and yet are pretty rich themselves. I think its more of a case of WE are jelouse of rich people.
