This isn't true. There was also a rumour that it wouldn't be free in January but that wasn't true either. PS3 will always be free.

There IS going to be a paying service for PS3, but it's entirely optional, you can still play for free.

the pay for online thing is just for additional content that you can download.. Bassically it. Like you'll get a bunch of free stuff, and you'll also get exclusive online things. Like maybe rlly good maps, or better weapons... Stuff like that.. But its optional, cuz unlike xbox, ps3 is full of great ideas
