I can remember inventing games as a kid, some where good, some where, well, painful and stupid. An example of painful and stupid was a game called blind tag where I think the person who was "it" had to close their eyes and chase the other players who would have to make noises. I can still remember being "it" and running right into a metal pole. That was the last of that game. Then of course there where the tag variations, such as the version where the person who was "it" would have a dodge ball or a kick ball and would throw it at the other players and if they where hit they became "it". That was much preferable to blind tag to say the least. The only other thing I can remember now is swing jumping competitions where you'd go as high as you could on a swing set and then jump off, person who went the furthest won. I used to win a lot though the swings we used weren't the best and I can still remember clothes occassionally being caught in the chain and being dragged back to the ground by the swing, not exactly the most pleasant experience but a fun game normally. And then came video games.
Kickball with a giant exercise ball. It sounds fun, but if it gets thrown at you, you'll probably prefer to sit out a few rounds. Or if you're the pictcher and the ball gets kicked right at you. Then you're also in trouble.
