I love it in Family Guy the songs are funny and amusing just like Family Guy itself!!!

Its just a way for people to laugh. Many people loved comedies where they'd break into song. Example Monty Python.

Mike and I love the FCC song on family guy. If the song is good, which it usually is, I think it's awesome when they break into song.

Oh and family guy overuses things too much ...for example when peter falls down, he stays there for 2 hours.

I agree, not just in family guy in a lot of action movies i think its cool.

I prefer the one by Eric Idle, but that one is much too explicit to post here.

Family Guy usually does it to parody other movies and musicals. When Peter does his "Shipoopi" dance at the football game, he is taking the song directly from "The Music Man".
