[b]Why is it that all the sports games ( ok maybe most) are just about riding bikes and hardly any are about football, soccer, and basketball. The football one is about a dude that runs around trying to get to a game. The soccer games consist of clicking the ball up in the air and Idon't even think I have seen a Bball game?!?! crazyyyy!!!!
They make games about popular sports, which will be played probably more by the gamers, if you are interested in something then the chances of liking it are higher. We have also always to consider that these game are flash games, so are quite simple and we should not demand too much. There is a baseball game. Long Ball. Maybe there are others too.
I reckon that the reason you only see penalty shootouts and mouse click sports games is the difficulty to make anything more complex. To make a football game where you have players on a pitch you would need a good A.I system which is something very difficult to do.
If a developer was going to put that amount of effort in then it wouldn't be worth it on a game with a segregated audience. Ultimately you want to make games that appeal to everyone.
