Exactly that point 314 pointed out. People would abuse it and make games that only need one post. Thats why yo do them for the fun of them, not the AP.
It would be the same thing as giving out AP's for playing the 'normal' games here on AG... that would only lead to people abusing the games for the benefit of getting AP's and not the main reason: playing the games!
It would probably lead to people making threads like 'who can post the most' with the intension of getting as much AP's as possible before the thread gets locked... the latter won't be something the mods can do then, because they accepted the fact that this is something that is allowed to do by providing AP's for these threads games! See the problem rising there?
Because Forum games is a bit like the Tavern, for playing around. If you got AP, it would sort of be like getting AP for playing games on AG, which we don't want.

Rules says no spam. So it would most likely be deleted in a case like that (it is not a game to post a lot of crap, after all), and the people participating would be either warned or banned.
In fact, before the Forum games was created, all the forum games was in the Tavern (which counted for AP).
Yeah, it was created in my inactivity period. Suddenly it was there, and people were using it.
So although the forum is no AP, we still have some benefits, otherwise, it would have been dead a long time ago, and we would not have used this right now!
And look, it has half as many threads as SS but three times more posts, which proves people use it a lot.
