I think, like other gaming sites, Armor Games should add some themes when holidays come up. Yes, I know it might chew up some memory, but it would attract people who want to see the designs of the holiday.
I agree google567. Im now almost 13 and now hate it, but they are a highly visited site.
Miniclip is beginner's gaming club. I find it a good place for Flash gaming, but yes, it eventually wears out.
Who are not allowed to be on the site in the first place, because they signed a legally binding paper saying that they understood the rules and that they are 13 or older.
Doesn't that only count in the US? I mean, you shouldn't do it anyway, but so far I find the only thing that would make AG 13 plus are spammers and flamers (Arck...).
The background is just fine the way it is, it provides a soothing relaxing screen to watch! Not one of those where your eyes hurt after watching it for 15 minutes already... this is well though of I believe and it works! =)
As for what Freakenstein says, I can't really debunk his post, since I agree that it would provide a lot of attention to the AG website, plus it would provide a platform for artists to show their cunnings and get noticed by other parties... *rubs beard* tuff decision here! Leave it the way it is or have themes implemented? Both sides of the topic are well argumented upon, so I'm a little lost here...
That would be pretty cool, there could be contests for that and the winner's picture would be the theme.
That's a thought to consider, but still I like it just the way it is... and with the installment of themed backgrounds, AG would have to provide the users with a 'switch off themed backgrounds-button' for those that don't like them (like me) and simply want to have a 'normal' background to look at...
maybe get some new merits for art!
Ok, if that's the case, then don't expect it to happen very soon... If you would participate for the honour of getting your themed background picked for other users to have as a choice, I would say excellent, go for it and ask the admins!
But you just asked them for a merit, something considered a HUGE 'NO-NO' here on AG and with that I think you drowned the whole idea of making a competition for it... sorry to say it, but yes...
ol "legally binding document" who reads those? Do you?
I would if I were you, especially in some of the internet parts. Fraud is often accomplished on the internet because the users forget (Or can't be bothered) to read the terms and Agreements.
I don't see why you don't want kids under 13 to join.
It's the law, if I remember right. Be careful what you say...

Like its the law to watch rated "R" movies at 14? Or play +18 games at 15? Lots of people don't respect the rules. And i think it good that way, cause rating for age are mostly wayyyyy to exaggerated

Just like that, but with the little thing that we can permaban anyone below the age of 13 for being below 13. A bit like if the police busts into your apartment when you are watching +18 movie, and take all your movies away while fining you for breaking the law.

actually, with parental consent, the police can't do anything about kids watching r rated movies. they can, however charge movie stores, and theaters if they sell r rated movies to kids without parental consent.

Does the permaban lift automatically? Or do you have to unlock it?
wait... is this discussion about themes or what?
It's about the background of AG (The blue stuff on the sides of all pages). Random as it may seem, it it quite important to some users.
I personally like the one we have at the moment, as it is sterile, doesn't bother and is mute for both genders (Girls do like Blue). It also sort of fits with the mood of AG.
