Has anyone else played the new AvP game? If so put what you think about it and any thing else about it here.
Awesome game. Good graphics and awesome gameplay. Playing as the Alien is a little hard sometimes though because of the go anywere kind of gameplay literally.
idk, i got the demo, and i played one game. probly should have played more but i'll say what i'll say anyway... so i got randomly set as a human (that's how the demo works, no customization unless you find another gun in the level) and going up against aliens and predators in a very dark level (part was building, part looked like an alien nest) just felt extremely weighted. i did poorly, but that may have also been due to my lack of experience, IE; the controls are very different from most fps's. shooting a player as an alien is close to impossible, they are not one solid body (i mean they are skinny, have many appendages, and create a small and awkward target to hit). plus they are black and hard to even see, and they have a lot more mobility. then the predator is literally invisible except for a small glimmer from its shield, not much more. shooting this is similar to shooting somebody with invisibility on halo, except it doesn't go away. anyway, thats my rant, i'm done, if anyone wants to comment, elaborate or correct on this post, please, be my guest. Thanks
Alien Vs. Predator... Well I haven't played the online part of the game, but I have played the first few missions for all the species and I thought it was pretty good. The controls for the Predator were confusing for my tastes...but I probably should have paid close attention to the tutorial. Being an Alien was darn fun. Marines...I don't know. It was pretty suspenseful at times, and I really liked that. One thing I didn't like was that there was way too much gore, but I was expecting that. I give the game a 7.5/10. Might change that if I ever do play the online.
Played as Alien. The lack of control about what are you doing is staggering. Unless you sneak up on an enemy, feat hard to perform since your sneaking speed is the same of the walking human, you can't be sure to hit your enemy. I'll explain: you're in an hallway, your target is far, but gives you his back; you dash (forget to shoot an alien that is dashing, they are way too fast) and accidentaly hit a wall... Bam, you're on the ceiling and you've made the noise of an elephant charging; the time you need to understand what's happened, the marine emptied his rifle on your back. GAME OVER
