I just don't; I'm sorry. In almost any song, I would prefer it to be an instrumental.

Is this uncommon?

I would say that is very uncommon. A lot of people just like songs because of the singer.

Pretty much, but then people like my grandpa do that and hate when people sing in classical songs too.

Well if you really feel that way.... You should listen to daft punk.

Or invent a new one that isn't called instrumental.

do you not like the sound of the human voice? or do you just prefer instrumentals?

some of both.

some voices actually attribute to the song, others just seem like it could be so much better without it.

like this attributes.

This, i don't like.

i listen to a couple death metal bands, so i guess that's where it originates. Very few screaming singers in songs are good.

Oh well there's your problem right there. One of the main attributes in metal is that the singer always sucks.

yea. Go normal rock! Or w/e it is

Yeah, I think listening to death metal has ruined your sense of enjoying listening to singing voices. Some good genres to listen to if you want to hear good voices are soft rock and Motown.

That's sorta weird. I like them about the same, but i think a song cant be a song without instruments AND singing

without instruments AND singing

Of course it can't. That would be silence :P

imo, instrumentals are good, but can be improved upon if you add a good singer to the song. Unfortunately (and this is just imo), good singers these days are an endangered species.

Not always! For example "Take Five". The song wouldn't be that good if there was a singer.

Actually I don't like female singers. I don't know why. But if you listen to rock or punk a male voice just sounds better.
