it would be really good if that could happen because i know freinds who have a ps3 and i have an xbox so it would be good if you could talk to each other.
Online PC. With dedicated servers you are more able to choose your preferences and server lists are much more flexible. 360, PS3, and Wii all have the same crappy console multiplayer things AFAIK, and console multiplayer is pretty bad.
PC gaming for several reasons. 1) Dedicated servers while gaming. No need to rely on 1 host (which makes team play unfair), ability to fine-tune game play mechanics, have mod's who monitor players for cheating, poor sportsmanship, etc., mod the servers for specific game types... I could go on.
2) Several applications to keep track of your friends (Steam, xfire) and communicate with them (Ventrilo, Teamspeak).
3) Aside from paying for the game and internet access, it is free to play most games, aside from MMO's.
4) Steam. This deserves its own category just because of how many services it provides for free. Store (which has great deals weekly), community, friends list, game hub, achievement tracking, to name a few perks.
Nah its XBOX live u have to pay but it has the best connection so XBOX is da best No matter if u have to pay only 50 bucks A YEAR wow thats a total deal.
I'd always stick with PC gaming. As another person has already mentioned, online PC supports dedicated servers which is a huge plus for online gaming. Lower pings, higher frame and bit rates, better access allows for uninterrupted and enjoyable gaming.
Xbox live without a doubt. Its functions and the way it works is so much better than everything else. (not really tried many PC games except things like AofE and such.)
Though PC gaming does have very good qualities such as great servers and such, the game play is to slow and havok like on any game to really play. Xbox games are very smooth and relaxing and have great graphics, with very little hackers to worrry about (Put a price on Live, who is willing to waste money to hack?) PSN on the other hand, gets hacked all the time, I've played on my friends and its not fun -_-
I second that. The online components for PC are far superior to its contemporaries.
with very little hackers to worrry about
While it is true that there is always the risk of hackers on PC multiplayer, instances of hacking online on the PC have reduced. This is a good signal for the online PC gaming industry.
