The Sims beat The Sims 2? I didn't think it was as popular, but I guess since it's been around longer...


If you add the two expansion packs, the total comes up to a greater number than that of the Sims.

I thought that WoW is first, in front of others by a large margin.


11.5 million is not a small number, and once again, if you add the expansion packs, you come up with a higher number than it would appear. In fact, if you add the totals to the Sims 2 and its expansion packs to WoW and its expansion packs, you come up with the same number.

Im suprised that call of duty is not in list, well Modern Warfare 2 very popular but it is a new game and they are selling it only for a year that cant beat cossacs which is in sale for about 10 years

I have known about the Sims franchise being the top selling PC games for quite a while, but I must say that the top selling PC games section of that article is outdated.

It is not important is game old, I thing older games had much better story then newer ones, for example lands of lore (dos game) I think that game is epic and I still play it with emulators, If game is new and it has good graphics doesen't mean that is it good game

I have nothing against old games. In fact I am keen playing on abandonware and retro games. My point is that the section which the OP was specifically referring to in that article may be somewhat outdated and needs updating.

I think you were mislead by the topic. Read the OP, it clearly mentions "Best Selling Games for the PC". Another point, Mario was made for the NES and SNES not the PC.
