When someone enters their information into the form on the frontpage, the information is stored into a database. A program called cron automatically runs twice an hour, which looks in the database to see if any messages need to be sent out. If a message needs to be sent out it looks up which method(s) of delivery it needs to use and it sends it out. Once sent, the message is marked as sent in the database and will not be sent out again. All of this took a little over 300 lines of PHP code.
That is all the explanation provided on the site.
Is this some kinda time capsule thingy? And who does the site send your messages to.
No, people, he is not advertising, he is asking for feedback on what to change/keep/work with. There need a big deal of information, though, both here and on the site, and it is somewhat hard to give feedback when you don't know the purpose of the site. *shrug* Link to it through your about and ask for more feedback there.
