BJiscuit, I don't know of your personal faith and I won't pry but I have witnessed amazing transformations of people's conviction at funerals before. The trip to Michigan may not feel good but once you're there, surrounded by family, loved ones, friends you'll see what I'm talking about.
People that haven't spoken to each other for years will be chatting and giggling like they were back in school, others will be huddled up praying and it might shock you to see someone join in who, to your knowledge, doesn't even go to church.

So, what I really mean is take a deep breath, grab your camera and take your time making it a point to visit with each group. There will be those, like me, who slip-in-and-out of funerals, because we've been to so many. You have to catch us speaking with surviving family, quickly.

Here's my prayer for you,
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray a special prayer of protection and traveling mercies on this family, in their time of need.
The Bible promises us that when two or more are gathered in your Name, that all we need do is ask. I'm asking that you'll ease BJiscuit's grief, reminding BJ what Your Word says that you never place on us more than we can bear, and that You are always with us. Amen.

dear god,
pls make sure bj stands like a mountain that cant be blown off by the winds of uncertainty, and that he will heal that wound in his heart amen

Sorry man, I've experienced trips from here in Illinois to Florida, so, yeah lol. I recently went to a funeral, but, after it finished, I felt better for some reason. Hope it turns out for you the same way it did for me.

My condolences, I've lost quite a few people close to me so I know it can be a pretty hard things to deal with. At least you can be sure she had a full life and her legacy lives on with you and the rest of her family.

live goes on

u mean life goes on?

wishes for what exacly? That u make alive to the funeral? I'm not quite sure what...

Anyways, everyone will die one day, it's just the cycle of life

Just don't make your life miserable, cause someone died...u can be sad, but don't stay sad your whole life. U must move on. (lol that sounded awkward)...

I'm not really a Christian or anything, but I'll definately pray for her.

Eternal rest grant unto Bjiscuit's loved one, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

I've personally lost my faith in the Christian God, and this is what I have to say to that prayer God is a cold blooded @$$hole he'll never take away any ones pain the only way the grief will evaporate is by friends and family members not by God so don't waste your time praying. What'll only take him a moment to do (take away someones suffering), he instead lets them be sorrowful for weeks, or days on end. What a great God don't you think?

i mean this in the nicest way possible, shut the heck up and leave, this isnt about faith/religion, a loved family member died, ive been going through hell, Yes i am a christian, but that has nothing to do with this. im deeply hurt, i have so many damn regrets about her, things that i wish i could make up to her for.

please just shut up and leave, i dont want to hear your flame.
