Its very important that you get people at first so when your wall gets hurt you can repair it faster.you need at least 2.Then start looking for weapons.
A quick guide - Search for other people solely for the first 2 days, searh for weapons until you get two or three more, also spending 1-2 hours to repair your barricade as needed. Then, split your time between finding new survivors and getting more guns. Eventually, you should be on Day 16-17 of 20 with the Barret .50, by far the best gun in the game. This is a fun game that involves some strategy, rather than just slaughtering things left and right.
for me i got the weapons as fast as possible. spent about 70 percent on weapons and 30 percent on people. different if i took damage. it also depended on how much if u want a full review messaged me and ill get u one
