God... I am so sick of hearing everyone go nuts over them. The movies are crap! I mean... The effects are second rate -at best-, the actors can't play the roles any worse, and the books slaughter vampire and werewolf mythology! Its an outrage to people with common sense and dignity...

lol, this is true. The I hate twilight phase is over. I hated the first movie, but the second one wasn't all that bad. It had a good story line and great acting. I haven't bought the New Moon dvd, but I plan to.
Well even tough they are like taking adventage of people for having a signing for $350.They are not going to listen to us cause this is just a big paycheck to them,and they are going to get as much money as they can out of a trashy movie.

It's popular due to the converting of the sick drastic killing vampire to a nice glittering one. It doesn't hurt that all the characters are super sexy.

Why ban the books? They are just another way for an up and coming author to make a crap load of money. Today, the teenage population will go for anything they think is cool . . . hence the popularity of Twilight . . .

Well, I read the books (the first one, actually) and the book is better than the movie. As practically always, but that's another thing. The book delves a bit deeper, with a bit less of the moderate dialogues, and it doesn't have images.
Anyway... It's not that they're really THAT bad. It's just some strange blender-mixed combination of the whole Ann Rice series, some buffy, and some random highschool teen drama flick. And, if you think Twilight is bad, don't even think about watching The Vampire Diaries... that's like a flattened, elongated version of Twilight.
