What is the CLOSEST youve ever come to a major game over? All systems.
Mine was when I was playing Need For Speed Carbon:Own The City on PSP. The other dude and I both had a total race time of 3:50 but by some miracle I guess I won because the Lamborghini I was driving was slightly longer..
Recently played Baten Kaitos, using Kalas, Lyude, and Sayvna. Fighting a boss and everyone had under 150hp, and are all on fire. Fighting the boss for 10 minutes and I thought it would never die. Then Sayvna drew an attack card and it the only attack card she had, it do 89 damage and the boss died, when that happened i was very shocked to kill a boss with such a weak hit.
In the last boss fight in Final Fantasy 7 against Sephiroth I almost died. He used Supernova and two of my three characters died and the third one was close to dying. Somehow I healed them all but I almost got game over. It would have been bad because it takes a long time to get that boss and there isn't a save point near there.

In guild wars I was on the mission with gate of madness had allready all the five rifts but we were at low hp all and the monks ot whiped out he had only about 10% health left and there were 2 ursans left and we getted they managed to take his health down to 0.50% than they sadly died :S
k i was playing Super Smash Bros i was playing taboo on hard and i was on my last person mario (i now ironic) anyway i was hit bye that butter fly move and i was sent flying but i lived and he still had this much health -------------- so i thought i was screwed but i kept hitting and dodging then he got to the BT again and i hit him and i won
I was going through Mega Man 9 with Proto Man without using any E-Tanks and M-Tanks (As the other items aren't available with him). Was on the final stage. The boss rush and Wily Machine was easy, but the Wily Capsule was just so hard to avoid, mixed with Proto Man's crap stamina. I beat him without a game over, but it was DARN close. Had like 3 bars or so of health left.
I would have to say my closest game over, was on legend of zelda ocarina of time (the original). I was fighting ganon in his last stage and it was my first time. The first hit he hit me with I lost almost all my hearts I only had a quarter left. I also sadly had nothing i any of my bottle. Finally struggling I killed him, just barely.
