I think that the Ag lacks members compared to other global sites i know because many believe that they need to be game makers in order to join or that if you are not a game maker, you will be banned, disallowed in the threads and stuff. Although the whole site is trying to prove the opposite i think that some space from the ads could be cut and this message be entered. It could also be in the game pages which are the most visited. I myself had a little of this problem and i know many people who have it too and i think that it should be negated with more "eye-hitting" means.
In side-argumenting on the OP Doombreed made... when I joined Armor Games, it was at first because I found the game 'The Last Stand' here and wanted to rate it and make a game review on it. That was the reason I became a member, otherwise I couldn't rate and review it! =)
And only after I joined AG and this way noticed that the website was a thriving community with good social contacts and understanding between the users, I decided to hang around a little more!
Since then, I think (and now know for sure) that AG is a very enjoyable and fun community to participate in and... THAT'S just what we need to advertise to the rest of the game-loving world!
It's stated in other words then what Doombreed said in his OP, but it's more or less the same basics...
Advertise to the world that "Armor Games is a fun and enjoyable community to be a part of!", not simply rely on the part where you hope they will find AG someday and then become a member because they think: 'Hey, why not...?' and shrug about it...
And in a little argumentation for the opposites here... there actually ARE a lot of people joining AG already at this point!
It's just like I stated in another thread on this forum... about 5,000 new users joined AG in a time period of about a month! That's a lot if you ask me! =D
How about letting this thread silently slide into oblivion?
Doombreed is clearly not speaking about AG.

I named that thread like this because i wanted to say that Ag is exactly trying to prove to some that this is not the way you must be thinking. That is Ag policy. However to some, even a few, it is not that clear. So if there are to be even a lightly more new members this must become even more clear.
so...this is so people are feeling safe for not getting banned for not being a game developer?
WHY do you think that the register button doesn't address being a developer?
I Joined AG cause i wanted to be part of AG, since i always came here to play flash games, i never thought you'd had to be a Developer, and if you read in the Help section, you can see, there's nothing stated that you need to be a game developer to join.
well there should be AG adds on other websites.
And yes we are not a lot in the forums and like only 180,000 members active, but we do have a lot of veterans and people that come a lot and not just lots of random people, and thats one thing i like
Lololynage, I doubt they could afford that judging by the ads... but we do get lots of members from the AG symbol on games.
more than 95% of us here don't make games

I checked a page view counter, and it said that AG gets around two million clicks a day. Even if it seems like a small world here in this message board, there are many more people playing games on this site, without ever venturing here.
Again I have something to add to what ulimitedpower asked. If other sites don't need to, why do we? We're doing fine anyway.
Less than 1/4% of all registered users have made a game. Just a rough estimate, but it seems more accurate than having 20,000 users with at least one game.
thats how u got me >

I used to always play games here and then... I was just like 'hey, I should make an account!' I should have made one earlier.
