I think that the Ag lacks members compared to other global sites i know because many believe that they need to be game makers in order to join or that if you are not a game maker, you will be banned, disallowed in the threads and stuff. Although the whole site is trying to prove the opposite i think that some space from the ads could be cut and this message be entered. It could also be in the game pages which are the most visited. I myself had a little of this problem and i know many people who have it too and i think that it should be negated with more "eye-hitting" means.
In side-argumenting on the OP Doombreed made... when I joined Armor Games, it was at first because I found the game 'The Last Stand' here and wanted to rate it and make a game review on it. That was the reason I became a member, otherwise I couldn't rate and review it! =)
And only after I joined AG and this way noticed that the website was a thriving community with good social contacts and understanding between the users, I decided to hang around a little more!
Since then, I think (and now know for sure) that AG is a very enjoyable and fun community to participate in and... THAT'S just what we need to advertise to the rest of the game-loving world! It's stated in other words then what Doombreed said in his OP, but it's more or less the same basics...
Advertise to the world that "Armor Games is a fun and enjoyable community to be a part of!", not simply rely on the part where you hope they will find AG someday and then become a member because they think: 'Hey, why not...?' and shrug about it...
And in a little argumentation for the opposites here... there actually ARE a lot of people joining AG already at this point! It's just like I stated in another thread on this forum... about 5,000 new users joined AG in a time period of about a month! That's a lot if you ask me! =D

I Joined AG cause i wanted to be part of AG, since i always came here to play flash games, i never thought you'd had to be a Developer, and if you read in the Help section, you can see, there's nothing stated that you need to be a game developer to join. There's so many Users non-developers compared to all the game developer's on AG.
Doombreed is clearly not speaking about AG
If that is so true, then how come the Topic's name is named AG policy and new members?

I Don't really remember why i joined, i was playing flash games since Old AG was here, now it's the new AG and i saw it amazing, and i knew i could register(cause i saw the REGISTER button) .
I named that thread like this because i wanted to say that Ag is exactly trying to prove to some that this is not the way you must be thinking. That is Ag policy. However to some, even a few, it is not that clear. So if there are to be even a lightly more new members this must become even more clear.

I agree. I wonder how you've come to this conclusion Doombreed.
I ask you, and do me the honor of answering:
1. Why do you feel this way? 2. Give us examples of other users who feel the same way as you 3. How does AG suppress normal users? 4. How are developers given priorities to normal users? 5. If this were true, why would AG suppress normal users?
Why I ask these questions:
1. Err, you posted a thread, you back it up with facts. 2. You have so far had no one bak you up. 3. I see no visible suppression done by AG. Unless mods were abusing their powers (Which I deem unlikely) I see no logic in your claim. 4. I have never seen developers being treated better than users. Most of them are inactive... 5. I find this one very useful: Why the heck would AG suppress users? They make money from users, and mistreating them would be like digging its own grave (AKA suicide). If AG abused users, it would lose visitors, get a bad reputation, lose money, then shut down. Unless John has suddenly gone nuts he won't let that happen.
And yes we are not a lot in the forums and like only 180,000 members active, but we do have a lot of veterans and people that come a lot and not just lots of random people, and thats one thing i like
Less than 1/4% of all registered users have made a game. Just a rough estimate, but it seems more accurate than having 20,000 users with at least one game.
I checked a page view counter, and it said that AG gets around two million clicks a day. Even if it seems like a small world here in this message board, there are many more people playing games on this site, without ever venturing here.
Again I have something to add to what ulimitedpower asked. If other sites don't need to, why do we? We're doing fine anyway.

I think even less, as there aren't even 5000 games. If each developer makes 1 game, we'd have about 750-1000 developers. And because some developers make more games, the amount shrinks to about 500 developers (If each one makes 3 games). Very little compared to the 404,500 other users...
thats how u got me >
And me. Many users find Ag through there games on other sites.

I hope I've understood it right (It's sort of unclear what you said:
Other sites don't suppress users, why should AG? Makes no sense...
