Cheat codes are installed in games to keep short-fused players from smashing their game consoles.

Cheat Codes are in games as a testing tool. Well, most of the time(*coughRockstarGamescough*)

Sorry, something in my throat. So, yes, some cheats are just there for fun like in GTA and Red Dead Redemption.

Of course, some developers like Rare make you EARN the cheats by beating the game first. Get the end-game bonus, and you get to throw INFINITE ORANGE GRENADES! Oh yeah.

both. they sometimes ruin the fun of the game if you make yourself invincible but they can be fun sometimes

I only agree to using the fun ones like bigger cats or giant laser chickens

they are good when your playing a game that is almost impossible but sometimes the cheats negate certain affects.

The only time I use cheat codes is after I've beaten a game and I just wanna poop on everyone on the second playthrough. Minus GTA... it's fun to run around with a rocket launcher. hahaha

i agree finish the game and use cheats than hell yeah go and take reveng from the hard levels that you were stucked in for 2 days

they can be *ok*..... but wats the whole point of cheat codes? arent u supposed to finish the game and have fun? not wanting to finish it as fast as u can.... wats the whole point of cheats if nobody else thinks its fair? can someone relate to this?

I have to agree with Metallica137. Use cheat codes ONLY after you have beaten the game first.

It depends on the cheat if it does the whole game for you its bad but if it unlocks one thing its good

I think cheats are good only if the game creator puts in a place to enter the cheats. Otherwise the creator wouldn't let there be cheats.

Ii only use them after I have already won a game and don't feel like trying to get perfet or if I really can't beat a certain

It depends on how you look at it. For example, if your stuck on something then you can use a cheat to beat it effortlessly so in that way it helps you (good), but now the game isn't really fun and is less challenging cuz you wont really try because you have the cheats to take advantage of-that makes it less enjoyable so I think that reason makes it bad too. Anyways I think like many other stuff in the world, Game cheats have their benefits and disadvantages. :]
