Hi,

Just wanted to ask a quick question:

[b]Who is going to buy the iPad?{/b}

http://images.apple.com/ipad/gallery/images/gallery-software-safari-20100307.jpg

No reasons needed unless you want to, but you might want to so you don't get a spam complaint...

Thanks.

Fanboy? Nooooo. You can't judge a book by its cover, and you can't judge a person over the internet.

Okay, an iPad will not have flash for a while because it is someone hard to get an agreement with Adobe. Anyway, why do people buy ipod touches? There's the games, but otherwise, Safari is the same as the iPad.

Apple open sources its software. Whether or not Darkroot knows what this means does not matter.

I think you mean netbook, not notebook... idk though

The only thing about the iPad that seemed interesting to me was the eBook library and downloads. But I'd rather buy a Kindle for that instead of the iPad. Cheaper, more portable, and the screen won't glare, like I've noticed some recent Apple products do.

I don't know if anyone saw the review Daniel did on Tosh.0 a while back, but I enjoyed the part with the golf club.

Aahahah judging by how many post you have here and how passionately you defend it I would say you really like apple or the ipod.

Ipad will never have flash because if it doesn't no one will pay for the overpriced apps through the horribly organized app store.

Lastly yes I do know what open source software is and I have edited and played around with some before. But I can grantee you that the os on the ipod will never be free because that will mean you won't be tied down by apple and apple will start losing it money on it's updates and ect...

But hey if you feel like busting out $500 for it be my guest.

iBooks is interesting. I guess it is good to have, but the iPad is overall not really just for reading, so I guess it is not as good as a Kindle.

Flash is possible. The app store is for apps. Not for the internet.

Of course it will never be free. The terms and conditions says you have no business relation with apple, you are just a registered app developer.

Starting to see what I do?

Whereas Kindle is made for reading, nothing else, is cheaper, more portable, and no glare on the screen. I'd say it's better. But you're entitled to your opinion, as long as you don't try to change mine.

Starting to see what I do?

No, honestly.

The kindle isn't really competing to be a laptop.

I have one... And It's kinda hard to bring my laptop into class and convince my teacher I'm only reading :P

Besides, some of the prices on Amazon are better than the ones they sell for ereaders.

That's why you bring a netbook. It's too slow to play games on.

Alright, if the iPad is simply an electronic reader, I'd rather stick with the Kindle. Or nothing at all. Screw them both.

Okay, an iPad will not have flash for a while because it is someone hard to get an agreement with Adobe.

It's hard for Apple to agree with Adobe. And it's probably hard to get Flash on the iPad itself.
